I'm back on line... finally...!
The flood was waist high in the house... and that after the water receded, it left thick mud... so after keeping us up the whole night, we had to clean the morning after and try to salvage what can be salvaged... there was no food, we are not sure of our drinking water... my mobile phone is without signal--damn Globe... landline is also dead... no internet... no electricity... hmmmm... that sounded like a typical Manila household...?
Well, this is still Pasig... we are at the boundary of Marikina and Rizal... What happened, as far as I understand... Typhoon Ketsana poured in a month worth of rain in just a few hours... there was no wind, just rain... and with the already clogged water ways and deluded mountains at the east, what do you expect?! Water came rolling down with mud...
This is nothing new to me... back in the province, we live by a river and every year, once or twice... even thrice... the banks do flood, it have been that way since time immemorial... so we are accustomed to it and that our house is actually built to adapt this yearly scenario... the thing is, the house here in Pasig have not seen flood until now...
I'm back at work this morning... everyone in the team is accounted for and is okay as okay could be at this time...
