I'm done with Philippa Gregory's "Constant Princess"... It is not one of the best, but I didn't struggle to finish it... it is a story of Katherine of Aragon, known to history as the queen pushed off her throne by Anne Boleyn, mother of the greatest queen of England, Queen Elizabeth I...

She was a Spanish Princess who was matched since almost from birth to the Prince of Wales, who was to inherit the throne of England, Arthur... and so from birth, she was raised not only as a princess but a future queen... this is what was etched to her being--who she is and her destiny, she will be queen of England and with her stubborn faith, she believed this is so... that even after her husband of 5 months died, thus passing the title of Prince of Wales and future King of England to his younger brother, Henry and his future wife be the queen of England... she still went to believe and worked her way to have Henry her second husband to the point she have to deny her love of her life...

The story is not endearing... the main character Katherine have actually irritated me more than once while reading it... but I found myself wanting to read more and more of it... wanting to know what happens next, this despite knowing what will happen remembering history books...

Knowing I am to finish Gregory today, I went to National Bookstore in our building to look for Kathy Griffin... I am always a sucker for witty comedians like her, though she does have foul mouth sometimes, I do like her balls to say things... and plus the book is number one is new york times best seller... surely, National Bookstore would have a copy... but I searched high and low and snapped on a sales lady, but to no avail... they don't have it... what they have is Dan Brown and Stephenie Meyer...
